Apparently, they were but they have structural issues that have caused damage. Past administrations looked into fixing them but decided the cost would make people mad. I’d bet the original was a patinaed gold rather than a bright gold, which ruins the shadows and depth.

Yeah, when I started looking at it closer, all of them have repeats, some even with a slight skin tone change.
