There's a reason we live on the SOUTH side of Whidbey Island instead of Oak Harbor where all the planes live non-stop. (There's a Naval base there and the planes fly A LOT.)

Nothing like being jolted awake in a new house by the fire alarms chirping twice and then stopping. After much ado, pretty sure it’s a dying alarm in the bonus bedroom. I have trauma related to waking up this way so I’m not surprised my heart’s still racing & it’s been an hour.

I can imagine. While I don't have kids, as a former teacher, I know how hard the world can be for kids with intellectual disabilities and their parents. I'm so glad your daughter has someone like you in her court. The way this country treats disabled people is so wrong. :/
