I’m trying to be better about keeping a habit again of painting a little for myself every day, and I really like today’s tree trunk from the watercolor sketchbook. (if you turn your head, those other ones are yesterday’s tiny landscapes, too)

arlen: 1 shimmery bullshit: 0 can’t take me out THAT easily. am I still a little scared of actually tackling this painting: maybe! but (fingers crossed) it’s going to be a lot of fun and I hope it turns out nicely!

ah yes, giant mostly-circle crescent of shimmery bullshit in my field of vision, you’re exactly what I wanted to experience while trying to lay in this sketch for a painting (I took meds already and I will be fine but it is SO annoying to get these)
