It IS bad! Sure it's not illegal. That does not matter when addressing the issue of what these companies are doing. It's insidious. They're currently building a world where we depend on them for knowledge. Gatekeeping what was once ours behind paywalls.

AI companies are buying all books made before 2022, stealing everything inside and then destroying them. Not reselling them or anything. These companies are betting on us losing knowledge to rely on them. We should do something about it. It's really getting out of hand.
