Just me, chillin on my desk

One of the things I really love about my self that’s inherently me- my nasal folds along my cheeks, to the distinct lines in my smile. I don’t know, I just really love them. Why any time I sculpt something that’s for me, I always include them.

It was an interesting process haha! I did the front and back of my head separately as I feared I’d panic a bit having my head encased. If I were to ever do it again, I’d want a team of people who know what they’re doing. I assume the process would’ve gone 1000x faster

Repairing a lifecast and the desire to give me pointy ears is so high…

I won’t be able to use it for its original purpose ( detail coat) but I am so thankful I can at least use it for something. Huge relief!!

Good news!! I was able to press the harden layer down to find the lower layer was still somewhat soft. I went ahead and mixed it up and did some molding with it last night. It’s not perfect but I should be able to use it for some basic molding!! So not all is lost \o/

I’ll find out once I cast one! I have a very long/tall face so I think he should fit a good range of folks. Especially if the back is all fabric. Cause right meow my head is 21 1/2” around lol but I think I can get it to fit up to 23 1/2. Once I cast one I can put it on my big head form to see!

Thinking I might cast another UYOE mask ( same one as the tiger) to raise some funds for Rakule. I’ll fur it up like I did with the tiger too. It’s a small head but I think I can make him fit a bit bigger. I’ll post WIP as I go along if folks are interested

My birthday is coming next month and I’d love to do something. Zero clue what haha. I usually go to the MD renfaire but I don’t think I’ll go this year (sadly) so, contemplating other plans.

I MEAN, that’s kind of me now haha! I have a few I’d love to finish but l am always juggling the ones my muse,money, time can warrant.

Here here!! I just wish the price would stop slowly increasing. When I made Rakule the first go around it was almost half of what I am paying now. I think materials cost alone was under $900. Now it’s well beyond that. I remember being blown away how cheap fiberglass was at the time :,)

The other project I am pondering would be a little less than this. Maybe 300$? So I am like do I keep holding out for Rakule or do I dip in now to do this other project…

Went through my other chemicals and it seems only the one dried out. Which ironically is the most important. Figured while I am at it I’ll make a list of what I need for Rakule and how much it’ll cost. Looking like it’ll be about $600 in materials. Which isn’t terrible but, would’ve been $130 less

You could possibly try it with silpoxy but the stuff dries pretty quick. Might be able to try it in small batches. I know you can buy cheap flocking kits

Only thing I can think of is the lid wasn’t completely sealed. As I’ve kept this stuff for years with zero problems. This is an older batch but was more than half full. Sigh

Urghhhh devastated to find an important mold component I use for silicone work was all hardened up in its container! I’ve never had this happen before and now $130 worth of material has gone to waste. Was enough to do all the molding I needed to do for Rakule too. So so upset.
