If I ever get around to making my fantasy game there are no evil races, only inherently evil governments like capitalism, libertarianism, ethnonationalists, and eco-fascists
TheDevinTeamI get why people want fantasy settings with evil races. Writing conflicts is hard, and if your game is really about fighting monsters, making the monsters easy to identify makes it easier for the players, GM, and game designers. I just wish we recognized it as the childish world-building it is.

I don't think it's on purpose but it is not surprising that as we see genres like mechsploitation - about exploring the dehumanizing effects of violence and control while *also* revelling in them - grow we are also seeing extremely retrograde morality for children as a response from the hegemons.
