Oh yum. And an excellent reason to use the sparkly sprinkles.

I’m sorry you’re dealing with it all now! I’ve never wanted to beat up doctors and insurance agents on behalf of a stranger so badly before, but… Anyway, I’m really hoping it goes your way this time.

Ugh, fuck insurance. My docs had to do peer to peers for genetic testing because I have like 2 different things and they just rejected it anyway. Maybe it will work better with something more concrete since your symptoms are visible. I hope so anyway.

10. A guilty fav, hmm. I guess maybe the true crime I mix in once in a while. I find it interesting to see how some crimes are solved, and even more interesting the trial process after. It’s hard to find books like this that aren’t super sensationalized or exploitative though. I just want facts!

I like pizza with all kinds of things but have to admit my favorite is just standard old cheese and pepperoni.

Well now he’s clearly just being contrary. So spoiled!!!!! (As a cat should be.)

They’re so cute, I love their curly little tails, they’re like little cartoon lizards.

I’m ready to hand myself over, personally.

My cat was the same way. My only guess is the faucet water tastes colder and “fresher” or something. He had to come lick the walls every time I took a shower, despite also having a fancy fountain. 😂

9. In the night when I’m having insomnia due to chronic pain. I may be miserable but I get through *so many* books this way!

8. This is hard to answer because I was literally able to read on my own at 3 years old, and I read a lot, so I can’t remember well. I know this must have been a while later but I remember a book called Shadow Over Mousehaven Manor, but I’m sure I read other things before that.

7. Either The Chronicles of Narnia or the Redwall books got me into reading more when I was younger. I never really stopped and now I eat through books like candy.

6. I’m using July because aug just started: Paperbacks From Hell, Gone Girl, My Best Friend’s Exorcism, The Secret History of the Rape Kit, Bury Me Already (it’s nice down here), You Weren’t Meant To Be Human, Wolf Worm, Hell Followed With Us, and The Spirit Bares Its Teeth (phew)

5. In person at a bookstore if I can. I also like getting used books when I can find them; sometimes weeded library copies are in beautiful shape and a great deal. Amazon is my source of last resort, but sometimes a necessary evil.

4. COMICS! Then sci-fi/fantasy, then loop my way around to science/computer science.

What a likeness!

3. My favorite genre drifts between sci-fi / fantasy and variants of those two with horror tacked on.

2. This is difficult, but, top 5: - Middlegame by Seanan McGuire - A Psalm For The Wild Built by Becky Chambers - The Hollow Places by T. Kingfisher - The Light Brigade by Kameron Hurley - Kitchen Confidential by Anthony Bourdain

1. Honestly, not because it’s like great or anything, but through my childhood, and I pick it up now and again as an adult, The Magician’s Nephew by C.S. Lewis. I just want to visit the wood between the worlds.
