The TERFs may not like it, but they can't always tell. Trans/non-binary people are outnumbered by cis ppl by more than 100 to 1: the data shows that they get *cis* people wrong at a rate of something over 5%. Good luck with trying to enforce segregation on ASAB from observation.

Although I did get called for a health check for "gender diverse" people by the local PCN earlier this year, and when I asked the practitioner how they found us, she didn't know... suggested they had trawled our medical histories. I don't hold her responsible however.

Mine are still correct. My fear is that this is mainly relevant to the Palantir "Federated Data Platform", which Streeting said we couldn't opt out of. And it may well be that they have no way to "correct" records, but only plan ways of making sure they get them "right" in future.

I don't know about podcast, but she did write a long article for the Economist's "1843" magazine, which is where I learnt a *lot* about fan-fiction, shipping etc.

I felt exactly the same. I do have the option, although it would be a terrible wrench at my age, but the thought of getting letters addressed to "Mr Rachael Padman" is too awful. I got one like that from my old school 30 years ago. But at least I *could* send them a rocket.

I think the Federated Data Platform is something different though? Isn't that the Palantir product that Wes Streeting said you couldn't opt out of? The Summary Care Record is a GP thing as I read it.

I'm guessing the real function of "computing" in schools was to provide hope to the nerds, let them do at least one thing they enjoyed, and encourage them towards a career in it. Content irrelevant. I've been peripherally in IT all my life, and without continual learning it wld have been impossible

At my age, I have regular NHS interactions. My GPs know I'm trans bc I get HRT from them. But if I have to fill out a form like this, I'm still happy to lie, and if asked, remind them that they'd be treating me the same if I'd had a total hysterectomy.

Yes. Their tactics won't work for us anyway. It's completely asymmetric warfare. They have tanks (the media); we have infantry (ourselves). By analogy, we need what the Ukrainians used at the start of the war - Stinger missiles. And now, drones.
