In Crop and Claw 1, bandits often just used a "stubbed claw" turn wasting skill as they were one of the first enemies you encounter. But in 2, we can mix and match the more complex multi-character combat system to do a lot of horrible things that make the player have to weigh their options.

They're categorically "props" and filtered out of the check for if a side's considered defeated. Functionally optional combatants to defeat. In this case, they also don't actually do anything aside from exist.

Something I do internally is package in versions of programs that might be what stuff was made and built on. Blender in general's a bit more unpredictable than some when it comes to changes between versions. Especially nice when packing everything into archival DVDs or Blurays or something.

You can buy retro handhelds and put firmware and Portmaster to run your games on them, depending on your tools or libs. The lower end ones are less than 100$ and run circles around the 3DS in specs. Even Godot runs fine in them if you're taking care to optimize. Good low-specs tester devices.

I'll have to get around to picking up some other synths eventually to capture a wider soundscape. I actually like MIDI + RCA audio output since they're system agnostic. VSTs are a seldom written for Linux, but the hardware and common standards are more reliable than USB drivers.

Both SC88 and Pro had 32 channels and 64 voices. Though accessing the upper 16 channels would need a second MIDI input. I assume the 64 voices are shared across both halves, but I'm not sure.

I may as well be using this selling point. All our games are organically grown critters and dragons and such. Give us money, lurkers.
