Ai is awful for a million reasons, some of the smallest/saddest are that I’ve been robbed of awe, of delight. Because now when I see something awe-inspiring from the natural world, before I swoon & smile, I think ugh, is this Ai? This is probably Ai. And instead of feeling happy, I’m wary. Skeptical

For no particular reason, I'd not paid her music much mind when she became big, but I listened to the audiobook version of her memoir and it made me wish I had. It is as compelling as any I've listened to. Listening to her tell her story moved me to tears on numerous occasions.
