I think his actual position is "We should not send foreign or military aid to Israel because Israel commits war crimes", (which, BTW, is a position I agree with) -- but I don't know whether this reflects a "general position" or is specific to the case of Israel, and I think he should say so clearly

Where in the world did you get the idea that I’m opposed to him? I think “We should keep our money here” is a bad talking point and a bad principle for governance, and I don’t know whether he actually means it or not. But I have plenty of problems with Haley Stevens, too (possibly more)

I genuinely don’t know. Why do you call this an attempt to smear him? He’s the one who keeps repeating a talking point that, until recently, was exclusively the province America Firsters. Does he actually mean it?

Every time I see or hear El-Sayed say "We should keep our money here" I want someone to ask him "Do you think USAID was a good program? When DOGE shut it down, was that a good thing?" Then follow up with the same question about aid to Ukraine.
