The SuperNote is incredible. I have one. Free cloud sync and the digest function for PDF annotation are the killer functions here.

Note how discourses of #malingering crop up across the disabled state - in Medicaid job loss penalties, in regulated industries' efforts to manufacture doubt, & in the laws & ethics regarding reasonable accommodations. H/t @jmiers230.bsky.social , who's feed y'all should check out rn. #Disability

basically this. we don't have the luxury of putting down infectious disease stuff until everyone is mad at fauci or whatever bsky.app/profile/publ...
public health guy2020 was bad. very bad. horrific in every sense of the word. unfortunately it can get a lot worse. the seriousness of these threats — for which the clock is ticking — is barely reflected in our politics, largely for reasons every disability scholar has written on at this point. these are the stakes

I don't think I've seen ONE conference presentation with subtitles this summer. 🤨 PowerPoint can do this! And it's pretty good! I've seen it correctly transcribe the disease name, "fibrodysplasia ossificans progressiva." Go to "Slide show" tab on ribbon. #Accessibility #AcademicChatter

Sooooo many historical examples of this. The adulteration of milk with water is one pjatkins.webspace.durham.ac.uk/wp-content/u...
pjatkins.webspace.durham.ac.ukMichael D. Green, PhDI worked at a distillery most of grad school. We gave a tour talking about the history of bourbon. One of the biggest issues with bootleggers making alcohol illegally was that they’d put crazy stuff like shoe shine in their unregulated whisky. Regulations allow you to make informed choices!

New in NEJM: DOJ's theory makes a doctor who prescribes off-label a drug "distributor." HHS claims power to exclude you from Medicare over a treatment decision. This doesn't stop at gender-affirming care — it reaches every off-label prescription. @benjaminabarsky.bsky.social doi.org/10.1056/NEJM...

The article does a decent job of underscoring that this mission would not have been possible save for the contributions of Jews (the house was owned by a prominent Iraqi Jewish family and the listeners and translators were mostly German Jewish refugees) www.nytimes.com/2026/07/24/a...
I thought S2 of The Agency was quite good, definitely above average for an espionage serial, tho not as good as Slow Horses. I love the adaptation source as well (Le Bureau), but The Agency is a bit less convoluted, better edited, and has more consistent pacing.
