She didn’t “receive“ that money. She had no discretion over that. Meanwhile he had hours and hours of tv time with MSNBC, he had podcasts, he had Influencers, and TracAIPAC and countless others. He was not unfunded in that race. And the AIPAC spending likely hurt her more than it helped.

His demands for the kids time, mind you one is now in college, he dragged it out that long, have been so unreasonable. And he moved across the country from them!

This was like my cousin’s divorce. He dragged it out for years, and just petty as hell.

And she just doesn’t acknowledge that the labels aren’t working. Alot of us have long made that point, but I notice many politicos are now also also saying it. I don’t think the leftists are very progressive and I’m getting sick of being called a “centrist“ because I don’t walk in lockstep w/them.

I agree. I just think we must stop thinking every social movement needs a politician figurehead. MLK Jr was our most successful movement leader, obviously among many others, and I think it helped that he avoided electoral politics.

Of course. That’s a completely different thing to say though. I think Ossoff is already a leader in this way. He’s really confronting the race issue and he’s weaving it in with the corruption issue, which is interesting, because that’s how we’ve let the rot take hold; racism.

He’s doing a good job. I’m not in NYC. I follow Mayor Wu more than Mamdani.

Mamdani is a class reductionist. I haven’t been impressed with his approach to racial inequality. But racism is more than inequality and I don’t think there’s anything wrong with my calling for a people powered movement. Politicians are not necessarily the best leaders of social movements.

No, I don’t think so. It won’t be politicians but ordinary people who lead such a movement. Great movements are rarely lead by politicians.
