yeah i get that! just wanted to throw in a thought on the dlc that wasn't another "oh but you Gotta play it too!" reply it's fair to skip, it doesn't Complete the game any further. it's ultimately more of what the base game gives, but the surprises might give bigger smiles

wouldn't consider the dlc any more unhinged like you want per se but i think it has stuff that'll make you "ohh coool" at more than in the base game

and then there's the few they also entirely locked out of platinum unless you trade from dp!

gen 4 does have a lot of cool new evos for pokemon from past gens but it's insane most of them weren't reasonably obtainable before post-game until platinum

reading this here, in the context of this romhack ARG, it's easy to see the throughline of significantly inspiring a lot of how creepypasta dialogue got written. to much more juvenile effect as you age away from it ofc but I can't lie that this specific line being in an official game still goes hard
