In the Albert dock there’s a jelly bean picture of Paul O’Grady and sometimes I wonder if Lily Savage would get a prime time show now. I’m from a city that, not exclusively, but broadly, supports equal rights, and that includes trans people, and I struggle to understand how the country got here
