Ohh, my favourite band is coming to NZ in February!!

Glad I noticed the new episode of Strange New Worlds has a 16VC rating before I pressed play. This show really has some big swings in tone, and I am really not in for grit or gore. Guess I'll read an online summary and cross my fingers that the next one's watchable.

A colleague recently sent me an article about the importance of pushing through and doing activities with chronic pain. It's 2:30pm on a sunny Saturday. All I want to do is go outside and play, but I feel like I've been run over by a cement mixer. I keep thinking about that article.

Just finished another Premee Mohamed audiobook. Just such good writing. And her post-apocalyptic Alberta is so well conceptualised.

Oh shoot, the Dunedin Arts Festival didn't recieve Creative NZ funding. Between UBS, the downsizing of the uni music programme, the struggle to fund the arts fellowships... there's a ton of good fresh stuff happening in Ōtepoti, but there's so much bad news at the moment.

Opened up this book to find islands of text on the page. I knew it had to come home with me.

Had all my windows open to let fresh air in, when all of a sudden my eyes start watering and I smell awful smoke. No matter which way the wind blows, I seem to get smoke from one neighbour or another. It's so gross. Windows closed, air purifiers on 🤮
