I just finished watching GotG. Not really impressed (nearly fell asleep twice). Maybe I'm not the target audience. The last superhero movie I really liked was the 1989 Batman movie w/ Michael Keaton. Now I'm watching Event Horizon for the 1st time - just because the late great Sam Neill is in it.

Are you familiar with another work by Douglas Adams - 'Last Chance to See'? I think it's by far the best thing he has ever written. I must have read it or listen to it 15 times or so.

I have the books and audiobooks, the 1981 tv-series and the 2005 movie. I remember being disappointed for various reason when watching the tv-series and the movie. Still, I would agree that new movies probably wouldn't be improvements.
