To be clear, I honestly think this is a valid translation of the line. The joke is that Percy gets overly emotional about an object she's had for half an hour, so sings an emotional folk song of nowhere like a weirdo. Choosing to have her sing a meme song for babies is more-or-less just as odd.

Re: "revisionism," I don't like that term vis-a-vis a game's reputation improving with time. Revisionism implies changing the past, editing out sordid details, which would be dishonest. I can't change the past, but I can at least try to make a better future for an IP, right? I think he'd agree ;)
