Q's re why homo sapiens survived neanderthals interest me. One theory is that we are more vicious (billionaires like this explan). Maybe this comes from a greater ability to compartmentalize & rationalize away empathy? But there ARE other possibilities, e.g., a superior ability to work as a team?

So frustrating! If I were a comic-book author, I'd consider writing into existence a "League of Angry Scientists"--maybe as a rogue splinter of the legit "Concerned Scientists" but underground. Not sure what mischief I'd have them commit. Could resonate on many levels. bsky.app/profile/mich...
