Quick note, because there's a confusing bit in chapter 1 if you aren't British and born before 1990. There was a TV show in the late 90s/early 00s called "Dalziel and Pascoe," and "Dalziel" is pronounced "dee-ell." (It's still confusing in print if you're not familiar, but in audio it's nonsense.)

If you like kink, I can’t recommend For Real by Alexis Hall enough. Age gap bdsm romance with incredible narration, hot sex, poignant beauty, and compelling characters. Everything by Alexis Hall is a banger, tbh, but that one is one of my favorite books of all time of any genre.

Aaaaaa this is fucking DELIGHTFUL. I absolutely love this flavor of them—Vox so excited and overwhelmed that he won’t shut up, and Alastor loving it and annoyed about it. The art and the dialogue are so hot—this was such a treat!

I love everything about this, but especially Alastor’s hand so gently touching Vox’s screen. You always provide the most delicious meals. 😩

Of course, a human editor or beta reader would be even better, but seriously, if you don't have that, don't try to fill the gap with AI. An interesting story with grammar mistakes is better than a dull one without.

AI can't come up with interesting story ideas. It can only write bland, soulless prose I would have to rewrite myself anyway. A lot of ppl use AI for editing only, but it makes their writing worse, dulling the author's voice and style. Just about any AI-edited story would be better unedited.

I really don't wanna mute other fandoms and ships, but I'm following enough people now that my feed is getting cluttered and hard to keep up on. I love when an artist makes a case for a ship I'm not usually into--it feels like finding money on the ground. But I gotta start curating.

I keep seeing "pencil slop" being said by AI people as rage bait, and I'm like damn even your insults are ungrounded shallow empty ripoffs of something that already existed.

I think it is, in fact, exactly what Alastor wanted.
