Also, while we're at it, people saying "you made deliberate choices and you'll be able to explain why, which will prove you're not AI". Yeah, no. I don't even remember the names of some characters in some of my books. I know it all when I'm writing, but when I move to the next book? It's flushed.

For me, governments throwing themselves into supporting generative AI and building data centres is a prime sign that we are ruled by politicians who have no clue as to how to fix problems in our countries, so they leap and grandiose, useless schemes to make themselves feel useful and important.
