Though the findings are preliminary & no definitive source has been ID'd yet, the herbs appear to be among the first additional foods that health officials have publicly linked to at least some of the reported cyclo cases this summer, aside from lettuce www.consumerreports.org/health/food-...
New: State health officials say parsley and cilantro appear to be linked to surging cyclospora cases in North Carolina The disclosure comes as the FDA says it’s investigating a new outbreak linked to an unidentified source. Unclear if the two are related www.consumerreports.org/health/food-...
I'm doing a Reddit AMA on all things cyclospora at 3pm ET today! Ask me anything about the diarrhea parasite that's sweeping the nation, and the very confusing spate of recent updates from Taylor Farms and the FDA here: www.reddit.com/r/IAmA/comme...

THIS You know that "Trump cancelled a program that tracked Cyclospora" thing? That was FoodNet, which is a *long-term library of disease data.* It's not a track-the-outbreaks-in-real-time tool! FoodNet could be fully functional on tracking Cyclospora, & it still wouldn't help with this outbreak!
Dr. Lucky TranImportant nuance: While Trump CDC and FDA cuts have hampered tracking longer-term disease trends, real-time monitoring of cyclospora was not eliminated and current investigation (with the help of state reporting) is proceeding and making progress.
