Whether that fix is immediate monetary gains, or atavistic regression to past prejudices is up to the beholder. But a pandemic that required a collective social sacrifice was never going to work, especially when the avatar of their avarice was the sitting POTUS.

That in turn birthed a generation that had literally everything handed to it, and they proceeded to squander it once they were handed the keys to power. Over the past 40 years they've been ripping up the walls and flooring to sell the metaphorical copper to get their latest fix.

Definitely a culmination of the fact that the modern world as it exists today was made from the hard work of past generations to ensure we'd never go back to the old ways.

Your local DSA meeting might be a great place, filled with wonderful people who will listen to all who attend. But real politics is a dirty profession, and you should play it exactly as such.

There's a bunch of people who profess to know a whole bunch about politics, some who's job is tangentially related to it, but when they actually step into the ring, can't actually take a metaphorical punch.

It's reminds me of when Ed Milliband as Energy Secretary answered a question in Parliament from Carla Denyer, a newly installed Green MP, and Green "co-leader", and Milliband answered in that typical cutting British Parliamentary way, and she acted shocked, and complained about it to the media.

And the moment he was inaugurated as Mayor, he was immediately cast as the new GOP boogie man to join the ranks of Pelosi, Hillary, Obama, AOC.

I would suggest a bunch of people just go vote. And like, all of the elections. And primaries. Your state legislative elections, your local city council and mayoral elections. If you bitch about that, then you're not really equipped to handle politics. Maybe take up knitting.

There's a downside to our kind of "set in stone" election cycle, like the midterms. There's no real mechanism for like, a no confidence motion, or an ability to call a snap election. So there's no release valve for political pressure.

I will give whatever meager savings I have for someone to call him Strategy Cheese to his face.
