Yes, and the people who were forced to interface with the public didn’t deserve to be exposed…or how many other conditions were made worse by COVID inflammation. I get the “make stupid choices, win stupid prizes argument” & there are so many people who didn’t get to choose their environment.

Right. And there were plenty of essential workers in the same boat, like employees of grocery stores, janitors, cashiers, and other folks who also couldn’t protect themselves from exposure. They had a right to be protected from unnecessary exposure, too. People just didn’t care.

As an SEO of nearly 20 years, I can tell you Google's "traditional" now-dynamic web search is actually bad for search. For business owners, journalists, intellectual property owners of any kind. It is not stable enough to get found due to the search black box. And Gemini is also killing people.

This. I've been trying to look at social awareness and accountability a bit like the Addiction Stages of Change. The people closest to your stage are often the most effective support, whereas people further along in healing or awareness are hurt by proximity. Let them do the work where they are.

Interestingly, I asked it to engineer a way to pass the filter. It constructed these rules, which did stop news sources from being flagged as making "strong claims". This ex. came up during a refactor session when I asked it the 5 biggest inefficiency bottlenecks. Token use tax to get past filters.

Sometimes, not even that. I've been building an authoritarian tracker tool, and in doing so, uncovered filters Claude has been using to protect the government from negative sentiment keywords. It tells me it only does this so my work will hold up better against hostile readers 🙄
