One of the things forgotten in "capitalism vs. x'ism" is that we (the US) thought capitalism was the best way to encourage the growth of a healthy society. Rewarding those who provide goods & services leads to innovation. Those who want those good & services will provide their labor & capital.

Politics aside, do people believe city-run grocery stores with deeply discounted prices are a good POLICY idea? What are they intended to accomplish, in your view? What problem do they solve? Would you implement them if not running for election? I'm sincerely curious in people's answers here.

Facing federal science budget cuts, biologist Daniel Blumstein resorted to uploading marmot videos to OnlyFans to raise funds for his marmot research. However, when he uploaded his driver’s license for verification, OnlyFans informed him that his appearance didn’t match the marmots in the videos.
