Tried watching a few siggraph talks this year. So far it's a lot of: "We did this really cool thing! Wanna learn how? Great! Here's 30 minutes of background info, and now time for the juicy bit: We trained a goddamn LLM and used it as a black box estimator!" 😞

I used to think I worked for "the good big tech company" (obvs not meta). But it turns out there's no such thing. All of their once-proudly-held values went out the window as destroying our planet and sucking off fascists became profitable.

Trying to navigate the ethical space between "The Quest is a really fun piece of hardware to program" and "Meta is fucking evil." Can't wait for the Frame to drop so I can pivot to trying to decide who is worse, Gabe or Zuck.
