@miss-machete.bsky.social another absolutely great Hong Kong horror/thriller is Untold Story. Guys whacks a family in 1 of the most gruesome murder scenes ever. Honestly. Brutal. He then uses most of them as pork bun filling. I can say no more other than being demented, this is also a favorite.

His woe is me bullshit makes me ill. Crybaby, low intellect, draft-dodging, disrespectful, criminal, rapist, douche. I leave anything out?

Another great Hong Kong movie: Run and Kill. Guys wife cheats on him. He gets drunk and in a TRIAD bar wishes she were dead. This fucking movie starts out like a Disney film and fifteen minutes in goes to total hell. Tremendous.

If you want to see a truly ill Hong kong I really don't know what to call it; crime? Horror? Find The Ebola Syndrome. Insane.

Not that great. One of those posters that makes it look great.

An all time favorite.

I made a friend choke watching this. When the woman is hanging from the wire and the shark gobbles her up... I said oh well, eaten out for the last time. I made a similar snarky comment during the tremendous Alligator. This time it's a maid during the big attack near the end.

I love this movie! Watch the end titles where it says THE HEAD THAT WOULDN'T DIE.
