The crazy thing I've noticed....is that I've never once seen anyone actually haul or tow anything with one. Every time I've seen one it's just one person in the cab and nothing noted in the back.

It's a common mistake, but I'm surprised that Ossoff adds "false" to the word pretense. It already includes a meaning of false. So...saying "false pretense" is kind of like a double negative.
