A decent question I’ve started asking when determining if a book or movie is good, is whether or not it succeeded in what the author was trying for. For example, if an author wants to write a low-stakes fantasy romance it shouldn’t be judged harshly because isn’t written like Game of Thrones.

I didn’t get it until I read the softest ‘coffee shop across from under-funded cat shelter’ klance fic years ago. There was no going back after that.

I haven't watched that one yet. Not sure how I feel about the premise. (Mostly Sesshomaru marrying Rin) But I hope it's good!
