The plain language of the 14th Amendment bars this man and most Republicans from federal office and this country's leaders were too cowardly or complicit to invoke it and stop this madness.

How much of our money is it costing us for the government to baselessly prosecute innocent citizens for their own mistakes? How many lives is the DOJ going to ruin for Donald Trump's bottomless ego? Disbarment is a fine beginning.

They need a headline that will get likes and shares from people who haven't read the article on X, and simply could not care less that the gift readers on Bluesky know what utter horseshit it is.

Letting transphobes scream about free speech every time the public expresses disgust for their bigotry has gone way too far. Playing professional women's sports at that level demands better than blubbering inane pick-me shit for likes from men who don't think you should have a right to vote.

They captured the entire federal government and the legacy media and have enacted unimaginable levels of human suffering, but it didn't make them happy or fed or safe like it was supposed to. This is always the problem for them. The violence never works so they think it wasn't enough.

What I think is kind of funny about this is how activated conservatives are, like they're not even questioning why Fauci is popping up as a major concern in the summer before a midterm, they just know to rage.

"Colonized territories of red states." We have always been at war with the Confederacy. It was never a place, it was an idea, that freedom belongs only to a small elect, and for everyone else there is only toil and oppression in their service.

We are not required to make bigots comfortable and tiptoe around their disgusting proclamations. People who come to be controversial are getting what they asked for.

Eventually they are going to start saying things like I never liked that guy and I voted for him because he was the lesser of two evils. This wasn't true. They loved him and they voted for him because he promised to hurt people that they wanted to see hurt, which he did. Their vote was successful.

I think there is value in saying that you're going to do things that you couldn't possibly get away with. I would not have thought so but in a world where the media reports what you say before they report whether it's true or possible I think this has value.

I come to Bluesky because I want to read threads like this one where they talk about the practical implications and possible pitfalls of a popular policy. And if the people who support the policy aren't engaging with the critique and lobbing insults, that alarms me.
