No, dude, it's not a morality check. Not even ethics. It's well beyond that. If it were just an argument about morals it would be pointless and irrelevant --no more important than road tolls or fishing quotas--. It's about who has the right to live, and who doesn't. Hence why we cut off fascists.

People whined about Petersen's Troy back in 2004, and still. People whine about Nolan's Odessey, and will. The same people would have whined about Dante's Inferno for making Achilles love Helen and Ullyses navigate the South Hemisphere. No, neither Petersen's or Nolan's are masterpieces.

No idea who that guy is, but agreed: whining isn't reviewing, and anything made up from a made up story can be cool –or not– by its own merits, not due biased perceptions. Cheers.
