What a week! Since last Monday's call, we've had both our biggest town hall and canvass kickoff yet. TONIGHT at 6 PM, I'll be speaking at our next volunteer call about where this race stands and what the town hall, the canvass numbers, and the debate mean for the final stretch.

You might be wondering how I got here. My debate opponent, @repmoskowitz.bsky.social, hid rather than defend sending billions overseas, empowering ICE, becoming the first Democrat to join the DOGE Caucus, and putting wealthy donors over FL-25. So I debated his empty chair. It lost.

. @repmoskowitz.bsky.social dropped out rather than face FL-25 voters and defend his record before the Broward and Miami-Dade Democratic Black Caucuses. No town halls. No debate. No accountability. He demands your vote, yet thinks answering to you is beneath him. I showed up. He hid.

. @repmoskowitz.bsky.social thinks incumbency means he can hide from voters and still demand their votes. No public town halls. No policy platform. Now he has dropped out of a debate hosted by the Broward and Miami-Dade Democratic Black Caucuses. This is cowardice and contempt for Florida voters.

At a time when Republicans are attacking Black political representation across the South, Moskowitz backed out of a debate hosted by two Democratic Black Caucuses. He may believe incumbency means he does not have to answer to voters. He is wrong. I’ll be there, ready to earn every vote.

This is exactly why the @sun-sentinel.com refused to endorse Moskowitz, citing “his continued avoidance of Larkin” and “unwillingness to defend his own record.” He had a chance to prove them wrong tonight. Instead, he proved their point.

Tonight, I’ll be debating an empty lectern. @repmoskowitz.bsky.social dropped out of tonight’s debate hosted by the Broward and Miami-Dade Democratic Black Caucuses. He has never held a town hall in the new FL-25. Now he won’t face its voters. I’ll be there.
