That’s not how this works, usually? Game systems have always been sold at a loss. I didn’t read the article, but like, money is made by licensing the systems dev kits to developers and game sales. Consoles are sold at a loss on the potential profit of games.

It’s not just the oops all quips that gets annoying. Or the constant 4th wall lean. Like watch avengers 2 then dungeons and dragons, and see how in the latter the characters treat the world and each other with sincerity, and how the former they kinda know they’re in a movie.

Game of the Week 25 for 2026 is: Dimhaven This game is the most fun in the first two chapters, but gets increasingly esoteric and a little sluggish towards the end. It feels like they had a lot more game planned and stripped it down though. Still, hard puzzles, cool art direction, fun world.
