At which point, I gave up. Put the screws back in. Wrote them back and told them I did try to open it up, but I'm not a service technician, y'know? Then, in the time-honored tradition, I got On Here™ to complain uselessly. Only been at it for an hour today. Gonna be a great one. 😕

Look online for a drawing or something. This is commercial equipment. It must have something, no? No dice. Just a bad drawing that's not actually an exploded diagram and also looks like it came off a mimeograph machine.

First hurdle was find a screwdriver. Okay, found a driver that will work. Find a battery for that driver? No. Okay, forget that. I'll use my pocket screwdriver. It's only six little screws. Take them out and no joy. Control panel doesn't come off.

In this case, it was opening up a six-month old commercial ventilation unit to see why it stopped ventilating after the first filter change. It's obvious it's the filter presence switch, but the manufacturer is trying everything to disclaim responsibility.
