Puzzled. Why do some US ppl think 'very' is pronounced by some posh British ppl with a 'dd' instead of an 'r'? At worst, some might say it as 'vewy', but I have never, ever heard anything that sounds remotely like a 'dd' sound. (And yes, in the course of my researches, I have met some v posh ppl.)
