have you considered that the horrible machine constructed to demoralize and crush you was *meant* to demoralize and crush you, and by being demoralized and crushed, you have in fact let the horrible machine win? instead, consider my novel strategy of not being demoralized and crushed by the machine.

it's a shame that we don't have any historical precedent about whether burning down libraries' worth of knowledge is bad or not. we're flying blind here.
