I can make a living by talking directly to people interested in my subject, instead of having to do it by convincing some administrator that someone is interested in my subject.

I guess I'm like one of those people who has a pre-existing condition that protects him from a spreading virus because I've been editing all my videos about ancient languages on my phone(!) for more than a decade and thus have always had *all* spelling/grammar/autofill turned off.

The State of Colorado is 150 years old today. I was astonished to learn of this hero from Colorado's territorial days only about a week ago from this skeet.

The attitude I was implicitly raised with* was: "The Bible is an instruction manual for being good" -> "We are good people" -> "We do not need to read the Bible (other people do); we need only flip through it & find our justifications there" *By one side of my family; the other was very different

Not language change per se but a change in me as a reader: over the years I have continued to write apostrophes in the "right" places but I am so used to people not knowing where to put them ("olive's for sale") that I don't even register whether I see them or not in reading anymore
