My brother and his host of co-morbidities refused to get the covid vax. My brother caught covid and he died struggling for air, alone in a hospital surrounded by strangers trying to help him. If you’re anti-Fauci, you’re as stupid as my brother was.

I’m figuring this cancer shit out. Been through the grief and depression and uncertainty, am now armed with solid data and am ready to move forward.

I know I’m not the first person to get a cancer diagnosis. But it IS the first time I’VE gotten one. And it suddenly occurs to me that I have no idea what this means and I think I’m going to drop out for a while to figure some shit out. Thanks to everyone who expressed support. I just need a moment.

The five stages of loss are definitely non-linear. I thought I went straight to acceptance. Turns out the anger and depression part can sneak up on you. I’m mostly angry right now. Fuck cancer.

I promise I’m not going to let this diagnosis become my entire identity on this app. But I’ve said it before and I’ll repeat: Men, I don’t care how healthy you think you are or feel. Get that damn PSA test and keep track of your readings. It can save your life. DO IT.

TIL that cancer doesn’t give two flying fucks about how healthy you are or how many miles you can run or how fast or how committed you are to living a healthy lifestyle. It just goes about its business whether or like it or not. Fuck it. I’m gonna win.

Today I am more determined than ever before that despair in any arena is not a viable option. While the next step is not always clear or obvious, there is ALWAYS a next step to take.
