"There's more to life than a little money, you know. Don't you know that? And here you are. And it's a beautiful day." he/him 🏳️‍🌈 from 🇺🇸 (MN->MI), speak fr🇫🇷 pt🇧🇷 es🇲🇽

In response to people getting weirdly defensive of AIPAC, I've been pointing to the NRA for a while as a good example of an unwelcome lobbying group that Dems rightly don't hesitate to criticize. It's a group that lobbies for a specific policy position that most Dem voters strongly disagree with.

I agree that the role of AIPAC in US politics is often overstated, in the same way that the NRA serves as a synecdoche for a broad-based collection of interests, but the thing about spending $30 million on an election is that people are going to assume you have some kind of stake in winning it.

I think the most important task for Abdul supporters for the next 4 days is to just stay chill. I know he will win graciously and magnanimously. The rest of us have to try our best to follow suit.

Both candidates in the MI primary have mostly tried to avoid treating Israel-Palestine as the central or only issue in the race El-Sayed because his genuine focus is healthcare & campaign finance reform Stevens because she knows she is on the wrong side of I-P relative to where Dem voters are

A simple average of these 4 polls: El-Sayed 52.5% Stevens 38.3% for a margin of Abdul +14.2%

Just knocked 25 doors for Abdul El-Sayed. I had conversations with 10 voters, which is a way higher ratio than I remember in 2024! Some strong Abdul supporters, some leaning Stevens, lots undecided. I love conversations at the doors. I’ll canvas for the Dem nominee this fall, whoever it is.

Just finished my last turf of the whole election. Bittersweet. 🥲 whatever happens, nobody can say we didn’t fight hard. My final totals: 1,391 doors knocked 412 conversations with voters

To be clear, an election night with these 4 results would be an election night where Dems handily win 51+ senate seats

Everyone who opposes Trump needs to be able to look at each other and see allies. Whichever sub-faction you’re in, that means looking past the worst parts of the opposite sub-faction and focusing on the parts you like. We can’t do this without the center. We can’t do this without the left.
