I'm just tired of incompetent, out of touch executives, many of whom don't even have experience in the gaming or entertainment industries, making everything worse while they collect their multi million dollar salaries and workers lose their jobs for no good reason.

The moment I see someone non-ironically use terms like "slop", "capeshit", or "WoKe!" to describe human made media they don't like is the moment I stop taking their criticism seriously. Because it feels like they're more interested in stroking their ego than in good faith criticism.

At least 50%, if not more, of Twitter is bots. Most of your engagement there is fake, the owner is a white supremacist, and the app is primarily used for spreading far-right propaganda and deepfakes.

I'd be much more inclined to eat at your restaurant or buy your product if you simply took an actual picture of your food or even used stick figures or clip art for your advertising. Using AI slop looks cheap and makes me wonder where else you cut corners.

Is it a hot take to say don't post spoilers? Especially on day one of a release of a big pop culture thing. Why ruin other people's fun and excitement? If you must post spoilers, at least hide it in the alt text.

As a personal rule, I’m wary of accounts that:   Are less than a week old Use the default profile picture Have a bunch of numbers in the name Have way more replies than posts Are following either a very low or very high number of people They're most likely a bot or some troll's alt.

Using AI will never make you an artist. You are not a creator. You are a thief, a fraud, and a lazy grifter who wanted a shortcut to potential success off the backs of people who are far more talented than you will ever be.

It's always weird to see people make hating one specific studio their whole personality while they go out of their way to give a free pass to or outright defend other studios when they do terrible things. None of the studios are your friends. Console wars are dumb.

The so-called "male loneliness epidemic" is entirely self-inflicted and these incels have only themselves to blame. They're walking red flags and I have no sympathy for them.

TERFs and other fascists are never going to stop at the trans community. They are 100% going to go after the rest of the LGBT+ community as well as people with disabilities. They will target anyone they don't like and the press will happily go along with them.

A big reason why I greatly prefer the 20+ episodes a season model is because it gave shows, and audiences, time to breathe, experiment, explore, and time to find new audiences. Cramming everything into 10 episodes or less often feels rushed, like a stretched out movie.

Getting really tired of people, including “professional” critics, shitting on VFX and the workers who make those VFX.   Some people never did grow out of their performative “CGI bad!” phase.   How about save that anger for AI instead?

It's still wild to think how much Covid absolutely broke so many people's (especially on the right) brains and how they had total meltdowns over the smallest inconveniences. And I don't think they're coming back from the crazy.

There are some people who are way too terminally online. And they all think that they speak for everyone else who isn't online when the reality is that they're in a microscopic bubble with no influence on the general audience or real world.

The problem is never the talented employees who do the jobs they were asked to do. The problem is the incompetent executives at the studios who chase fads and set unrealistic expectations, but they are never the ones who lose their jobs.

Hot take, but I feel that if you're going to become a professional critic or a YouTuber with a focus on pop culture, you should have at least some sense of media literacy. And you should actually watch or play the thing you're criticizing.
