Anyway, actors I think could make a good Parker. Michael Shannon. I once pictured a "trailer" for a Parker...something with him in the role and could hear the line from one of the books "I want you to call him and ask what happens to people who keep money from a man named Parker" in his voice.

Funny thing is the whole reason Parker is never referred to as Parker in any Stark adaptations until after Westlake's death is due to a contract stipulation that if you used the name Parker, you had to make it a film series, not just a one off.

PLAY DIRTY - Like I said, frustrating movie. Marky Mark's wannabe Boston tough guy schtick is completely wrong and the big explodey action sequences and stakes don't vibe with Parker's whole deal but...man, there are some great bits in it too.

...finding out the ANGEL Studios guys are behind a series of awful commercials about bathroom potpourri and laxatives is...huh. weirdly appropriate.

somebody cast Mahershala Ali as the lead in a cool genre tinged action movie just to flex. Come on, do it.
