We used Longworth traps with lots of straw and plenty of food... Mice and a vole. We opened traps in a bag, weighed and released

Day 2 of @unisouthampton.bsky.social @sotonbiosciences.bsky.social @fieldstudiesc.bsky.social trip, we have been to Embercoombe Exmoor for a freshwater exercises. We explored the riffles and pools along streams, survived a stampede of ponies was exciting, and found invertebrate nymphs and larvae

A great first day @fieldstudiesc.bsky.social Nettlecombe. We went to Helwell Bay and did a beach transect. The @sotonbiosciences.bsky.social students enjoyed the weather and doing some science. The rock formation showed Triassic red mudstones and grey Jurassic rocks.
