but ultimately i think the *healthiest* mentality to have is just that both games exist and are playable. And the real only issue there left is availability of the old game (SH2 for example)

its def complicated because like, to me, RE2make isnt a replacement for RE2, and you should just consider them separate games based on the same thing (a sequel to RE1). But Capcom *definitely* thinks that its a replacement. But other studios will do the same thing and wont think that
