Saw some pretty wild clouds on my way to Sequoia, last week. They’ll show up in a painting, I’m sure…

It was my first visit… definitely going back!

The photos don’t do them justice. It was incredible. Definitely worth experiencing in person 🙂

It wasn’t the height so much as the width… walking along among trees 15-20feet across… one (the General Sherman tree) is 36.5 feet in diameter! They were only a little taller than the other, more common pines.

Last week, I spent 3 days walking through a cathedral of trees in sequoia national park. I wish I was still there. #ForestFriday

And there's the room full of Rembrandts, across the way... right next to the room of Vermeeers! I do miss that place...

You can even look at the decorations on the back!

Art sales seem to be down everywhere (at least for everyone who’s not a top name), but online seems to be a waste land. If any fellow artists see this, and have any suggestions for other things to try, I’d love to hear them.

For a good long while, I was able to use social media to show people the things I make. I even made sales that way, both prints and originals. These days, it seems like a handful of people at best see what I post.

Man… I was in the “be ready to evacuate” zone for the Eaton Fire, and the highest AQI I remember was in the 400s…

The tops of those clouds will need some darkening, but it’s nice to have that expanse of white covered. #art #fineart #oilpainting #losangeles #workinprogress
