It is okay to "steal" sometimes. If you wanna practice composition go photoshop a ref and trace it. If you wanna practice drawing shapes find a fun color palette online. Draw some simplified shapes over a drawing you like, copy those and see whether you can recreate it. Just credit/ don't upload it.
