Good to hear the real deal review from an OG fan. The group were definitely younger than us. Not sure what they were hoping for I guess. The one thing with yacht club I don't like is that they've never given the big headliners a proper headliner set length.

I'll be honest I have no authority to talk abt The Strokes setlist. I was parroting the group convo sitting next to me. Although it was enjoyable imo, I only recognized a couple songs from the radio & I thought they had more so the talk sounded like legit talk to me. Definitely too short tho.

Obviously, the smoke would make me wanna cut it short, too. I think they had a valid excuse to cancel the concert instead of making bands exert themselves in hazardous air and let fans breathe it in for 10 hrs.

It doesn't get that bad if you're close to river but many people sit up on Kellogg at Sci Museum. Sounds bad up there. The Xcel Energy Center used to have a section with protruding wall that would create a slap back echo. Once you heard it, you couldn't unhear it. So annoying. Ruined the concerts

It's not perfect but totally acceptable for free seat to a $300 concert. This is Green Day from that spot last year.

I usually watch Yacht Club Festival from the free seats... (lawn at Upper Landing across river) But I'm waiting until The Strokes play at 9pm bc sitting outside in 90° w an N95 doesn't sound comfortable. I'll do it for a free Strokes concert tho.
