I love her so much. Last time I saw Belle and Sebastian, they stopped in the middle to show a "slideshow" of what they did and where they ate lunch that afternoon. So basically a travel documentary of the six blocks around the theater, which was downtown in the city we all lived in.

Everyone's got blind spots. I've recently been watching John Wayne movies. Just never thought to before. Don't love them as much as you seem to have loved this, but still pretty great!

Weird how iconic (I hate the overuse of that word, but this is the only one appropriate here) most of these are, but then I get to General Foods, and I've never seen that in my life.

I like the surreal Heathcliff's but this is... nothing? What am I missing? Kept thinking the sprinkles were going to be fish flakes or something. I get that normally the joke is that there's no joke, but this is literally just a guy saying a thing.

That clears up a lot. I was born in 71 and my awareness of media is very blurry before 1975. The coloring book probably came from a clearance bin. I didn't like to color, so it was basically a book of black and white sketches that I occasionally looked through and thought "who are these kids?"

OMG, I had a coloring book of these characters and was always puzzled by them, because I recall no other evidence of their existence. Same as then, I'm confused about the name. Wee Pals? Kid Power? Is there supposed to be a colon between them?

I love that the lights on it's face narrow right before. It's like it's passing out.
