I've not actually been to the theatre since before COVID - the last film i saw in the theatre was IT 2 - I've so many health issues & can't sit in the tiny cramped chairs for 2 hours plus people are assholes. Even if i want to see something i just wait for streaming. This I'd maybe try.

And we never get indie films let alone anything LGBTQ - I'm in rural red America it just would not stand.

We actually did get Backrooms which was shocking to me. We'll get a film that isn't even doing that well and it will stay for 6 weeks. I almost never pay attention to what we have. I know we had Toy Story; half the time I don't even recognize titles when i pass the marquee.

I'm promoting the hell out of it but I actually won't get to see it until it hits streaming 😭 We just have a tiny theatre, we get nothing. Even if this passed say 100M we still wouldn't get it.

Plus I've loved Evan since she was a child; bummed she's not in the new movie. I hated film when it came out bc I'd read the book by Alice Hoffman-i just love her work & thought the book was just astonishing. They watered it down to nothing to make the film, which is fun if you've not read book.

I agree. This is bull shit. The reason they recast is bc Evan is in her 40s and they want us to believe Bullock and Kidman (both around 60) are in their 40s so they're like oh no we have to cast younger. I do think the actresses who played the daughters got screwed. The original is 1998 FFS

I'm a writer, which is essentially a dream, but also just who I am but I'm not being paid for my work. All I ever wanted to be growing up was a dancer. The first time I ever performed on stage it was as a dancer. Years later I did a lot of theatre.
