Patterson's THE VAST OF NIGHT is a giddy, terrifying thing. The dialogue drives us into a cosmic nightmare.

Not his best movie, but when I moved to NYC in the summer of 1996, I would watch four to five movies a day. When ERASER came out, I'd use it as a buffer when I couldn't sync up a rep screening. Such a fun movie.
