There are! I think sometimes people don't know what to make of the more ponderous, deliberate pacing of first person dungeon crawlers, so they use mechanics from later third person action games like the souls series to try and square the differences- but I think they offer something different.
Kind of charmed by some of the goof-ass designs in Starfield for this reason. Outer Worlds also has some alien plants that are just like oversized purple oxalis. I don't know, it feels sort of vintage sci-fi collage: like the 3D game art equivalent of sticking stuff on a dog to make it an alien.
That stuff definitely. I notice I've even developed a nose for LLM-sounding chirpiness that can misfire sometimes, but there's really some tells that always make my eyes narrow.
